Howard Marson
Howard is a 25-year veteran of the tech industry, with expertise in enterprise software and business development. Having earned his M.S. in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT in 1985, Howard joined the Index Group as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies on the strategic use of technology. He then joined Phoenix Technologies, where he spent 7 years developing, sourcing, and licensing personal computer software to major PC OEMs around the world for bundling with their hardware. In 1995, Howard co-founded his first software startup, Connected Corp., which was a pioneer in the automated online data backup industry for enterprise desktop and laptop computers, and was later acquired by Iron Mountain. He then worked for a number of software and internet startups, before being hired to turn around EasyLobby, a failing software startup in the visitor management space. Howard grew EasyLobby over the next 10 years into an industry leader, selling the company to HID Global in 2011.
Howard has been an active member of the Launchpad Venture Group since 2010, one of the ten largest Angel groups in the country. He also volunteers as a mentor to student entrepreneurs at MIT’s Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship, and serves on the Boards of a number of startups in the Boston area.
